grounding heaven in me
It is a project for the Art Festival '48 Stunden Neukölln 2015'. The thematic focus of '48 Stunden Neukölln 2015' is 'S.O.S.- Kunst rettet die Welt', S.O.S. Art saves the world. 'grounding heaven in me' is Friederike Linssen's personal interpretation of this theme. The project is an installation of canvas in combination with a poetry - performance. It takes place in the Kirchsaal in Berlin Rixdorf, Kirchstrasse 17, June 27th - June 28th. The installation consists of canvasses, floating at the wall. Birds populate paintings as winged messengers between heaven and earth. Heaven is both without and within. Surrounded by white herons, godwits and swallows Friederike reads her poem 'grounding heaven in me'. Next she invites her guests to join her in Tonglen, a Buddhist breathing meditation, that may help us, to at least save our inner world.
